So we've had some new adventures over the past week!
First off last weekend Kris and I went to my first car show. For any of you that don't know Kris is a car enthusiast whereas I'm lucky to know the difference between the brands of cars. However in my attempt to expand my horizons I found a little local car show and so we wandered around for an hour on Sunday looking at some pretty cool cars. Most of them were older and there was even one from 1930. I learned *a little bit* more about cars and the restoration process and Kris and I dreamed of the day that we could actually own a garage (well a house with a garage attached but you get the idea....) so he could buy a project car to work on :) Here are some of the pictures from Sunday!
A Cougar with a stuffed Cougar in the back...too cute!!! |
I made this one extra large so you could see the date on the license plate! |
This week at work the kids and I also did some exploring and found a new park about 1.5 miles from their house. It's not very big and unfortunately what we thought was going to the main attraction (swings) were broken (you'd be surprised how hard it is to find a park with swings...Jake's goal is to find one with a real see-saw!) but nevertheless the fact that it had a sandbox was all the entertainment the kids needed. We were there Wednesday for over an hour and went back today with shovels and some sand toys and stayed for another hour until the threat of rain made us decide it was lunchtime. Here are some cute (as always) pics of the kids playing in the sandbox....
Brooke being a monkey...she asked if she could sit up there and I told her if she found her own way up...of course she did!!! |
