To continue where we last left off this post is dedicated to our 2 year anniversary which was actually back on June 22. Since we had our wedding reception at The Melting Pot restaurant we've made it our tradition to have dinner there each year on our anniversary. As always we had a very delicious meal and it was a beautiful evening.

This past year of marriage has been wonderful. Some of the biggest challenges we faced, individually and as a couple were the hospitalization of Kris's Grandma and our week of 4 E.R. visits in 1 week (spread evenly 2 and 2 though!) We've also had lots of fun times including all our holidays with various families, continuing to make "big" purchases together (car...couch....) and just spending time trying to relax and have quality time together. So far it is safe to say our marriage has been overall easier than I anticipated. Coming into it I had heard so many times over and over how hard marriage is, especially the first few years and I think I had prepared myself for the absolute worst...thus making any of our bumps along the road not seem so bad as I had thought they might be. Being married to Kris is one of the most natural things in my life. At the risk of sounding corny he truly is my best friend and I can't imagine spending the hours together that we do with anyone else.
I remember in grad school before we were dating, when we were just inseparable best friends thinking that I couldn't imagine life without him. I know most friends are in our lives for a season or so with obviously some special ones hanging around forever however at the end of grad school I remember thinking that I couldn't imagine *not* seeing him every single day, that thought just felt wrong to me. Little could I imagine that just 1 year after that we would be planning our wedding :) God is amazing in the way he works and I am just so thankful that he chose to bless me with such a wonderful husband!
Aww, congrats! Love your dress too :) You two are adorable.
