February is a very busy months for holidays in our house. Not only does it have Valentine's Day but it's also Kris and I's birthdays. Plus my best friend's (ie Twin) birthday is also in February. This year we didn't do much to celebrate our birthdays on the actual day but we did manage to make a trip to Pittsburgh a week later and we got to have a proper birthday celebration with Twin, Kris, I and my parents. We also started what I hope will become a birthday tradition of making our own Melting Pot dinner. It's no secret that it is one of my favorite restaurants but it's also not the cheapest either. This year since we have plenty of fondue pots between everyone that came we made our own fondue dinner complete with 3 courses. I have the official Melting Pot cookbook (thanks Meg!) and we used that along with some other recipes to make an amazing dinner. No birthday in the Pittsburgh area however is complete without Bethel Bakery cake (yum yum yum!)

This cake actually led to a discussion of who was each penguin! |

The tray the cake is one is actually the cake tray from our wedding (so cool!!!) |
