This year Kris and I had a lot of auditions around Valentine's Day so we actually celebrated it in the beginning of February instead of on the 14th. We were lucky this year to be able to combine our Valentine's Day dinner with a special performance. As many of you know Kris is a *huge* Star Wars fan and it just so happened in early February Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia) was in town to do one her solo shows "Wishful Drinking". Since her Star Wars days Carrie Fisher has evolved into an amazing author and stage performer. The night was hysterical and I highly recommend her shows or books to anyone looking for a good (albeit very adult) laugh.
We went to Sotto Sopra, our tradition Valentine's Day restaurant in Baltimore and had a wonderful dinner as always. This year however held a wonderful surprise for me. Like many girls (and especially since my mom is a florist) I *love* flowers. However due to an incident that occurred before we even started dating Kris has been scared to buy me flowers (long story...). However I am happy to say he has finally conquered that fear!! Waiting for me on our table was a beautiful arrangement appropriately named "A Perfect Pair"
I loved the combo of pairs and tulips. I had a huge smile on my face all night! Kris found it amusing that when we got home I actually carried the arrangement around with me for the next few days so it was always in the same room I was :) I also continued to take pictures of it over the next few days
