Sadly Summer of 2011 came to a close and it was time to head back to school. This year both of the kids attended Saint Augustine's school, a private catholic school. Jake was in Kindergarten and Brooke started her first year of Preschool (known as Pre-K 3). On the first day Jake was definitely a little nervous but he seemed to settle in pretty quickly. Now I am happy to report that he absolutely adores school including all his friends and teachers. It amazed me because even at the end of his second year of preschool I was still dropping him off while he cried so in the span of a few months to go from that to jumping out of the door of my car when we get there so he can be with his friends was incredible. Brooke started off loving school but then has gone through phases where she has decided it's not all it's cracked up to be. We just currently got through our second phase of that (now that there's only 3 weeks of school left!) so I will be curious to see how she handles next year. I am not sure where the photos of Brooke's first day went but here are some from Jake's.
